Down the Hill- SOLD

6x6 inch
Oil on board
SOLD

This is a fast plein air study painted at the end of the day. I love it when the shadows and color temperatures are so nice to paint. It makes you paint fast because the sun is disappearing and everything is changing. I think I do better when I paint fast and don't over think things. Next week we are planning a vacation to the beach, so I am hoping for a little plein air time on the beach. :)

Carol, I agree with you about painting quickly to capture that light. This painting is proof of how fresh and painterly it turns out.
