Round hay bale study #2-SOLD

9x12 inch oil on ampersand
SOLD

This was a morning plein air painting, which was so peaceful. I cheated and sat down for this one with my cup of coffee. I just have to remember before I drink a big cup next time.... there are no bathrooms in a field. It did make me paint faster though.

Your painting really captured the light of the outdoors. Only plein air can capture that. Good for you!
I did laugh about the drink and no facilities - been there - done that!

Love the colors in the field, must get out too and try my hand at plein aire painting.

This is really nice, Carol! I tried plein aire and it was so different than painting indoors...I'd like to try again...

Thanks, ladies!! It means so much to have your encouragement. It is a hard thing getting outside and painting. It is kind of overwhelming because of so many beautiful possibilities and trying to figure out your composition. My favorite part is listening to the birds and insects.:)
