This holstein was bathed in light and I loved the Easter Egg colors the sun and shadows were bringing out as I painted her. Holstein and Guernsey cows were the breeds of cows I would show at the county and state fair. I have found some photos of me showing, and I hope to be brave enough to post soon.

This is excellent Carol, I love to see the kids showing at the fairs, amazes me how much work it takes and how much effort is put in, this is a lovely painting.
Hilda, thanks for your sweet comment! I am on a quest to find photos of cows with great sun and shadows. Had lots of fun with this one.
Thanks, Maria! It does take a lot of work to show cows. I was lucky to have my older brother who helped tremendously. A lot of times it felt like it was the cow showing me—with some of the not so nice cows.
Love this and you have got to paint some pictures of you showing. So fun!
