Trees are hard for me. I must have scraped these off 10 times, and still not happy with them. The horses in the photo were in the shadow, so this was a good way to keep me from painting details. I had fun adding the cerulean blue in places. This was one that took me a lot longer than it should have, but hopefully I learned a lot. I don't want to paint a tree for a while. I am back to a still life today. :)

You might think you have trouble with tress but I certainly don't! This is beautiful, I love the shadow and light, lovely.
Well done- I think these trees are great!
Suzanne, you are so sweet. Sometimes when I struggle with a painting I don't want to look at it or post it. Thanks for lifting my spirits. :)
Kathy, thanks for your comment!! I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but for some reason it froze up. I love the colors and composition of Ode to Spode. Thanks for visiting. :)
You did a great job with these trees. Beautiful light and color in this piece. Very nice!
This makes me miss my horses while I'm in Florida. Also, don't you just love cerulean blue! I swear it's one of my favorite colors! I like what you did with it!!!
Carol, I love landscapes, but they are the hardest for me. I look forward to your next landscape!
Kimberly, thanks for your sweet comment. I'm sure you miss your horses, but I know you must be enjoying the warmer weather. :)
