Golden Meadow original oil by Carol DeMumbrum

$55-8x10 inch

Trees are hard for me. I must have scraped these off 10 times, and still not happy with them. The horses in the photo were in the shadow, so this was a good way to keep me from painting details. I had fun adding the cerulean blue in places. This was one that took me a lot longer than it should have, but hopefully I learned a lot. I don't want to paint a tree for a while. I am back to a still life today. :)

Suzanne, you are so sweet. Sometimes when I struggle with a painting I don't want to look at it or post it. Thanks for lifting my spirits. :)

Kathy, thanks for your comment!! I tried to leave a comment on your blog, but for some reason it froze up. I love the colors and composition of Ode to Spode. Thanks for visiting. :)

This makes me miss my horses while I'm in Florida. Also, don't you just love cerulean blue! I swear it's one of my favorite colors! I like what you did with it!!!

Carol, I love landscapes, but they are the hardest for me. I look forward to your next landscape!
